Here on offer is a very nice copy of J. Rowling's 3rd entry in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban, a fantasy novel and the basis for the 2004 film of the same name. This copy is a 1st UK trade edition, 2nd printing of the work published by Bloomsbury in 1999. The dust jacket is protected from further wear by a Mylar sleeve.

For twelve long years, the dread fortress of Azkaban held an infamous prisoner named Sirius Black. Convicted of killing thirteen people with a single curse, he was said to be the heir apparent to the Dark Lord, Voldemort. Now he has escaped, leaving only two clues as to where he might be headed: Harry Potter's defeat of You-Know-Who was Black's downfall as well. And the Azkaban guards heard Black muttering in his sleep, He's at Hogwarts...

Harry Potter isn't safe, not even within the walls of his magical school, surrounded by his friends. Because on top of it all, there may be a traitor in their midst. Joanne Rowling CH OBE FRSL (born 31 July 1965), best known by her pen name J. Rowling, is a British author and philanthropist.

She wrote Harry Potter, a seven-volume children's fantasy series published from 1997 to 2007. The Casual Vacancy (2012) was her first novel for adults. She writes Cormoran Strike, an ongoing crime fiction series, under the alias Robert Galbraith. Rowling's Harry Potter series has won awards for general literature, children's literature and speculative fiction.

It has earned multiple British Book Awards, beginning with the Children's Book of the Year for the first two volumes, Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets. Rowling was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2000 Birthday Honours for services to children's literature, and three years later received Spain's Prince of Asturias Award for Concord. Following the conclusion of the Harry Potter series, she won the Outstanding Achievement prize at the 2008 British Book Awards. The above text was taken from, respectively, A.
